Hello memory experts!

I am having an pretty weird issue that I never had before. I have hit 97% memory usage. I closed the game I was playing and my primary browser (firefox) and the cmd prompt application I had going in the background and it barely dropped down to 92 - 95%

Even with all that done, it's floating around 91% and yet nothing in task manager shows higher than 200 MB except firefox when I opened it for a moment just to post this thread here, which is 857 MB.

I have 32 GB of DRAM! When I upgraded from 16 half a year ago I though I'd never have to worry about memory again. I was actually just opening the task manager to force close a game since it's faster than using the game's in-game exit process.

Does anyone have any idea what is going on here?

I'm going to reboot my PC now to hopefully refresh it back down. I will post an update when it's booted back up.

So with reboots not fixing the issue I figured something hidden from software or the registry was eating my RAM, and it must have started very recently because I often go into task manager at least daily. So I tried a System Restore to June 25th after backing up a few recently worked on important files. This has fixed the memory issue.

I would still appreciate any information anyone has regarding what could of caused this and how it is even physically possible for a computer to eat up 28 / 32 GB of RAM and not see clearly where it is being used?

Thanks in advance anyone.
