970/980 real price drop anytime soon?

But the price to performance of the 980 vs the 970 even at £400 is still poor.

With the AMD competition to the 970 and 980 being rebadges/refreshes, however you describe them, is there any indication that it will move the prices in any meaningful way? The leaks (I know LEAKS) put the R9 390x/390/380 still price them quite steeply.

yes to me 980 is still too much compared to 970

my 970 actually cost me £250 new when i got mine but as AMD had no answer to the 970 its price actually went up to near the £300 mark

only got to wait till tuesday to find out what AMD has i for one am fed up reading rumours

and still nothing concrete about the fury and fury x cards

i really hope they pull something out the bag to compete with nvidia

From everything I've read so far, the Fury range will probably compete with the 980 ti and the rest are refreshes of the 200 series with clockk speed bumps and more VRAM. The only thing that may matter will be the pricing, has to be lower or it's a waste.
