970 Chipset for 8320 Vishera?

So I'm freaking out here and I might have made a $160 mistake. I ordered an AMD FX-8320, for my ASUS M5A97 LE R2.0 motherboard. The only problem is that is uses the 970 chipset which I've heard does support Vishera. But I've also heard it doesn't. I've heard that I might need to flash my BIOS for it to work. Please tell me if I fucked up!!

google the motherboard, go to the manufacturer website, check the cpu supported list.
If the bios version is newer that what you have, flash to the latest bios with your existing cpu.

that mobo supports vishera chips with bios version 1006 or higher.

They are compatible, but you may not oc the fx8320 because there is not heatsink on the VRMs section.
Check the links, one is the LE and other is ASUS M5A97 R2.0 you can see the different that is in the upper side ( north) cpu socket. But if you can return it get the ASUS M5A97 R2.0.

It's supported , but it's not a great pairing with the 8320 or 8350 , due to it's poor power phase design.

This is a better pairing , the bord has a 8+2 power design.
