My 970 arrived today and I was wondering how much my i5 750 CPU would bottleneck it, I won't be able to afford my new cpu for another couple weeks so debating on using the 970 or watching it sit in a box for weeks :( Right now i am using a 570 gtx card, so would the 970 still out perform the 570 with the i5 750?

Solution
Even if the i5 750 bottlenecks the 970 a little, you're still going to get significantly better gaming performance over the 570. Absolutely worth swapping out imo

I would use it. An i5-750 is an older CPU, but it's not a dreadful one - it's in the same range as the Phenom IIx4 blacks and the FX-6300, it's not like you're trying to run it on an ancient Athlon 64. In addition, you get to test your GPU, if it's got problems -- even if that's unlikely -- do you want to put your PC together and *then* have to wait some more while you RMA the GPU? It's not as if waiting a month tolls the warranty, the clock's already ticking after all.
