Hello, I bought a 970 evo 1tb from a friend who no longer needed it. I plan to add it to my computer but before I do I’m concerned with all the data that is still on it that he never deleted. Is there a way to delete it once I plug it in? Is it safe to even plug it in with his data and all still in it. Please help

Is your friend likely to have any viruses on his systems?

Sure you can delete it after connecting it.
The safest way would be through Disk Management, and delete all the partitions on it.
NOT in File Explorer and just 'delete'.

Don't access any files on it, delete in Disk Management.
