970 evo i cloned won't boot

I recently cloned my Western Digital HDD to my Samsung 970 Evo using Macrium Reflect. When i change the boot priority in bios, i get a blue screen. not sure what to do or what settings I need to change. also I am using an ROG STRIX Z370-E GAMING motherboard.

Windows 10 has native support for booting from M.2 / NVMe interface drives.

When does the blue screen display ? Just as you select another boot drive or just after the system attempts to access the new drive ? Does the board send you a message ? Kindly share !

It says inaccessible boot drive on the blue screen.

I'm looking at the guide but my interface on Macrium is different. I'm not seeing the ReDeploy.

A clone is often very straightforward

Are both drives in the system when the error occurs?

When you boot the original drive, what does disk mamagement show about the clone ?

Specific steps for a successful clone operation:
-----------------------------
Verify the actual used space on the current drive is significantly below the size of the new SSD
Download and install Macrium Reflect (or Samsung Data Migration, if a Samsung SSD)
Power off
Disconnect ALL drives except the current C and the new SSD
Power up
Run the Macrium Reflect (or Samsung Data Migration)
Select ALL the partitions on the existing C drive
Click the 'Clone' button
Wait until it is done
When it finishes, power off
Disconnect ALL drives except for the new SSD
This is to allow the system to try to boot from ONLY the SSD
Swap the SATA cables around so that the new drive is connected to the same SATA port as the old drive
Power up, and verify the BIOS boot order
If good, continue the power up

It should boot from the new drive, just like the old drive.
Maybe reboot a time or two, just to make sure.

If it works, and it should, all is good.

Later, reconnect the old drive and wipe as necessary.

I cloned it again for the third time and it worked not sure what happened.
