[SOLVED] 970 evo plus 2tb m.2

Purchased an 2tb m.2 and its registered as one with samsung but my computer is reading it as 1tb drive. Not sure how to fix this, please help

Where did you purchase it from and did you purchase it from a retailer directly or from a third party seller on a retail site?

Micro center, it was open box deal and I can still return it

I would return it. Clearly somebody bought a 2TB and swapped the sticker on top to a 1TB drive and then returned it, keeping the 2TB unit. I would also make them aware of it.

Just noticing this but Samsung magician is reading the serial number right on ssd so I'm not sure what's going on

And? What do you think that means? Are you saying that the serial number itself somehow translates as a 2TB drive? Or you saying that Magician simply recognizes the fact that it IS a Samsung 970 EVO Plus? Because if somebody else bought a 1TB 970 EVO Plus and a 2TB EVO Plus, and heated the sticker from the 2TB and put it on the 1TB and then returned the 1TB in the 2TB box, and then YOU bought it as an open box, then you would be able to read the serial and Magician would recognize the drive but it would only be a 1TB drive.
