I have the following system.

Cooler Master S600 case.
Gigabyte Z390 Pro MB.
Intel i9 9900k CPU.
noctua nh-d15 fan
64 GB DDR4 3000 mhz
Asus 2070 8GB card.
Dual non-raid 1TB NVME Samsung 970 EVO plus drives installed
Windows 64 Pro (2004 edition).

twin fans in the front of the case, and a single fan in the back.

The main NVME drive runs at 52c under nomal Windows load. While the 2nd NVME only runs a 42c.

Both NVME drives have their heatsinks on theme which came with the motherboard.

Do I need fan number 3 and 4 in the top of case to bring down the temps of NVMEs?

Solution
Those temps are perfectly normal.
Even good.

SSDs are not the same as CPUs and GPUS that dont like heat (though 50 degrees is actually totally normal for them)
SSDs are made of 2 parts.
the controller and the actual nand.
the controller does want to be cool, but its much better for the nand to be at around 40-50.

no need to change anything.

Anything under 70C is fine for your drive, however, consider checking your case's airflow, and the exhaust fans near the GPU, I find that my GPU is what makes the most heat inside the case

I got a extra 120 mm Cooler master fan and mounted it in the top of the case. That have given the following temps for my dual nvmes. Main 970 evo plus disk 45 - 49 c (under normal load) and second nvme (40 c) also a 970 evo plus under normal load.
