Question 970 evo plus 500gb for $35 or 990 pro 1tb for $70 for boot drive on new gaming PC

If you need 1 TB capacity, compare 980 price versus 970 EVO plus, as well as several different WD and Crucials.

Typically.....advantage of capacity is much greater than speed differences once you go beyond spinning hard drives.

No, but 500GB is a little small.

If the disk is for windows and apps then no.

If your planning on storing games on the disk you best go big.

if money is not an issue I would go for the 990 PRO hands down. it will simply last longer because of the better flash memory
