970 or 980

Hey guys looking to upgrade my graphics card and I was just wondering which one is better the gtx970 or the gtx980 and which on of them like for the gtx970 there is the GTX 970, GTX 970 ACX 2.0, GTX 970 ACX 2.0 FTW, GTX 970 ACX 2.0 FTW Ref, GTX 970 SC, and GTX 970 SC ACX 2.0. Now with the gtx980 there is the GTX 980 ACX 2.0 and GTX 980 SC ACX 2.0

I'm looking to play like Arma 3, Battlefield 4, And other games like that at max settings or near to max

The 980 is better than the 970.

The MSI and Gigabyte 970's overclock better than the rest, but they all overclock well.

Are you gaming at 1080p? Yes? GTX 970 is a great option. At higher resolutions GTX 980 should have you covered but even then, x2 GTX 970s in SLI is an even better price-to-performance option than one GTX 980
