970 + physx Card = 980? (witcher 3)

Concerning Witcher 3(I know its not released yet, so i recognize this will be speculation)

Performance wise(assuming maxed out CPU)
How will a 970(as main) and a 770(as physx, because idk what to do with my old one) compare with a 980 while running Wither 3(could be on varying settings but assuming Ultra)?

I'm just very curious

In games that do use a lot of physx, like I think Witcher 3 will be, the actual game performance will be that of a regular 970 but your physx effects will be able to be as high as you want. So this is a pretty interesting question, would the 980 handinling physx bring it down enough to the level of a 970 not having to handle physx? I personally dont think it will. The 980 is a more powerful card, and you will probably still see better performance...just probably not as much as you would in games such as Crysis 3 that don't rely on physx for anything.

Long story short, you may just be better off selling the 770 for some extra money on the side(or even putting towards a second 970 😛).
