Can a 650w power supply handle 2 gtx 970's? Everything is running stock speed.
Components:
-Intel Core i5 4670K @ 3.40GHz
-8.00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 799MHz
-MSI Z87-G45 GAMING
-1Tb SSHd

I think you will be okay, just don't do any overclocking with those cards. Overclocking your cpu a little will be fine.

Your psu is a tier 1, so I wouldn't worry about the quality: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/id-2547993/psu-tier-list.html

From here http://www.guru3d.com/articles-pages/geforce-gtx-970-sli-review,4.html you can see that 2 gtx 970's in sli will draw just over 300W, for a total system draw of around 450W. PSU's are most efficient when working between 50-75% of capacity (and at 50C) and you'd be right at about 70%.
I have SLI970 with 850W gold EVGA. 850W is more thasn I need. My figuring was that if I replace my cards later, I dont neccessarily want to replace my psu, or be restricted on upgrading. i'd reccomend at least 750W.
