970 SLI or 980 TI?

I currently have a single evga 970 SC 2.0x cooling and wondering if i should just get another one and SLI them or get the 980 TI?

my system specs :

i7 2600k OC'd to 4.5ghz
850 watt gold plus PSU
16 gb ram
GTX 970 SC

I usually do 1080p gaming, eventually hitting 1440p or 4k. Which is better for my situation because if i buy the 980 TI i basically have no use for my original 970 but a 980 TI is like 700 bucks lol.

If going the 4K route, then get the GTX 980 Ti. You can either use the GTX 970 as a PhysX card or sell it.

i always prefer one card to 2 no sli/crossfire issues then

i have gtx970 overclocked 1600mhz and 8000 on memory

2600k at 5ghz

1440p

not having any issues with that set up

so if you are at 1080p i would wait for a while

Heck, even an overclocked GTX960 runs most games at 1920x1080 smoothly, why waste money on 970 SLI?

Save the money and get a 980Ti when you upgrade your monitor, or maybe even a second generation Nvidia/AMD based on high bandwidth memory and 16 nm process.

I just sold my 2 x 970's and bought a 980 Ti. I might return the 980 Ti, benchmarks and cost pending on the Fury X
