970 vs 990X vs 990FX Chipset

Hey Guys! I was wondering which chipset is good for specific builds that could help me and other people.

I will be doing GTX 950 SLI. (2 Way SLI) I will also NOT be OVERCLOCKING.

Which AMD Chipset is better?

970 = Single GPU and No overclocking
990X = 2 way SLI with overclocking
990FX = multiple SLI with overclocking

Yes you got that right ,

970 = Single GPU and No overclocking
990X = 2 way SLI with overclocking
990FX = multiple SLI with overclocking

There is some 970 boards that overclock

but if you need 2 way sli then you need a sli 970 board or any 990x board .

for 4 multi-GPU you must go 990FX

What board do you intend to buy ?

Great 970 board with sli support .

Just do not overclock on it .

I do not know about mobile , I am on desktop
