9700k or 9900k for new build

I am replacing my 2500k with a new 9th gen build. Going from 4 cores to 8 cores should make a difference for me since my system is 7 years old. I game at 1080P and edit youtube videos. I already have a Maximus XI Hero and RTX 2070 ready to go. I can't decide between 9700k or 9900k. I tend to keep my computers for over 5 years without upgrading. The 9900k is $579 but out of stock, the 9700k is $409/419 depending on where you look.

After reading a handful of reviews, I'd say the 9700K is more than enough CPU, as is the 8700K for that matter.... (Remember, most 8700Ks hit 4.8 - 5.0 GHz on all cores, and are relatively bargain priced compared to the 9900K)

I think you will see no difference between the 9900K and 9700K.
Either is a massive jump over your 2500K.

Just depends on what you are willing to spend...If you can afford the 9900K then from an overall perspective it is the best CPU....If money is a issue than the 9700K or even better the 8700K will do a great, great job with the 8700K hitting 5GHz with not too much bother.
