I recently bought a 9700k + z370m Aorus Gaming (rev 1.0) + 2x8GB Corsair Vengeance LPX, and a EVGA 600w Bronze psu.

The problem is, if i leave everything at stock, it feeds 1.5v to the cpu, even after i flashed the latest bios (supposedly optmized for 9gen).
Then i started to play a little bit with the settings. I have some experience with ocing, but i didnt want to until this chip gets a little old. I started testing the voltages, and the closest to stable that i have achieved is dynamic voltage with -115 mV offset. Done some stability tests and all seems well. But, when at full load, HWinfo show 1.246V on VCore. Good right? I locked all cores at 4.9Ghz, so it seems awesome, great temps and all. BUT, when at idle, the voltage peak at 1.404v. Way beyond what i find confortable, and if i set to constant voltage at 1.3, it just freezes in windows. No Blue Screen, just freezes.
Leaving DRAM Voltage on Auto feeds 1.272 to Ram, while it should be 1.200v.
In my research, at stock, this cpu was suposed to need 1.2 +-.
Im very happy with the temps, 72c at full load is very good, at least compared to my old 4790k. 31c Room temperature, mind you.
My Rig: 9700k @4.9Ghz
16 Gb Vengeance LPX (2x8)
Z370M Aorus Gaming (rev 1.0) (Bios f11b, i think)
Gtx 1060 6Gb Galax Oc
EVGA 600w Bronze PSU

Use the F7 bios.

That will fix the issues.

Flash it to F7, reset to optimized defaults.

Enable XMP and Multicore Enhancement, save and reboot, and that's it.

To make sure post the exact MB you have...…

If it is the Z370M Aorus Gaming (rev 1.0) exactly use F5 BIOS.

On all of them use the one before the 9th generation BIOS update. (They all overvolt the CPU)

Gonna try that later, thanks for the info my dude!

EDIT: Tried the F5 and still, 1.450+ Voltage on stock

Post the link to your exact MB.

Look on the BOX to make sure.
