9700K vs 8700K

Hi!.I'm going to upgrade my setup from a 6700k to a 9700k or 8700k In my country, the prices of both poccesors is the same, almost, and I mainly use my setup for gaming...so, wich one is better for this? (the prices are the same, again)

Before you ask, guys
1.-I'm not going AMD
2.-I'm not going 9900K

so between those 2, can someone give me a good advice?

You realise you will need a new motherboard?

I’d go 9700k. It has a soldered heatspreader so should run cooler.
