975XBX1 and 800mhz DDR2 RAM?

Maybe someone can help me out on this... I have the Intel 975XBX1 with 2gb of OCZ Gold DDR2 800 5.5.5.15. Now the mobo only supports 667mhz RAM but i have seen many other post that they can get 800mhz to run stable. I am not so lucky I guess. It will run rock solid at 667 but when i switch to 800 I run into some stability issues. Is there a way to get the 800mhz to run stable on this board? I have not tried adjusting any of the voltages to the ram, should i try to increase to maybe 2.0 from the 1.8 it is currently running at?

I strongly doubt that your RAM is rated at DDR2-800 at the standard 1.8V. Such modules are typically marketed as manufacturer-sanctioned overclocks to a voltage higher than 1.8V. Check with OCZ to find out the voltage at which the DDR2-800 speed and the given latencies are spec'd at.
