I have a Auros z390 pro wifi motherboard and have just gotten a samsung 980 pro 2tb for extra storage and when i go to install it i just keep getting constant boot loops? ive tried changing the boot order for the drives and all of the sata ports are still enabled, the new ssd is recognized just fine in the m2m slot. not sure if it matters but this is just for additional storage as i already have my OS on a ssd. any and all help is appreciated.

Solution
while using the M2M port, you will lose SATA 4 and 5
if a M2A port is SATA M.2 drive, you will lose SATA 2 as well.
which drives are connected and which ports are these using?

eventually update the BIOS of the motherboard within BIOS using Q-flash

It looks like im only plugged into 3&5 on the motherboard, and im not currently using anything with my m2a drive, So should i be fine switching sata 5 to sata 2?

that ended up working thank you very much. i had kept checking the sata through the bios and it was saying they were enabled so didnt think it could be the issue.
