Hello there! I have been using an Asus 980 Strix for a few months without issues, and just recently checked my VRM temps out of curiosity. During heavy gaming maxing the GPU, VRM temps sit at 90 degrees, (GPU 70) which is identical to what Guru3D measured in their review. With an increased fan profile, I can push them down to 80 degrees (GPU 63), but it is significantly louder. Now, I know that VRMs are supposedly made to handle higher temps than the GPU core, but I am somewhat concerned, and would like some confirmation. Are these temps (particularly the 90 degrees one) in any way detrimental to my GPU? According to many, these components can whitstand up to 125 degrees.
Thanks for your help!
