I chose 4 980 Ti's and I want an opinion on which to get. EVGA SC+ ACX 2.0+, 680$. EVGA FTW ACX 2.0+, 670$. EVGA CLASSIFIED ACX 2.0+, 700$. MSi Twin FROZR V, 680$.

Just buy all 4 of them, and send me the 3 you end up not using...

Oh... nevermind...

Take the one with the best cooling solution, and if you are willing to pay for overclocking, then grab the most expensive one, since that should have both. The others most likely have a lessor overclock, and may have lessor cooling solutions on them as well...

None is going to be dramatically faster than any other one. But the best cooling solution should be quieter.

Reading comprehension is an amazing thing...

I wondered if you would catch that. I really do like the EVGA brand. I own three of their video cards and five power supplies. They have great technical support and I appreciate how simple their rebate process is. However it is lame that you're somewhat forced to register your product or else you'll be stuck with a lesser warranty period.

I previously owned a MSI GTX 970 4G Gaming card and absolutely loved it. One minor thing: It has one display port, one hdmi and two DVI; I would have preferred three display port and one hdmi. As for the MSI GTX 980 Ti 6G Gaming card, I've never owned it but I'm a fan. It has glowing reviews on both Amazon, NewEgg, plus numerous computer technology message boards that I'm on. The only place where MSI fails, in my opinion, is with their rebate process. It is atrocious to put it mildly. I'm a very patient person, and even I just gave up on trying to submit a measly $10 mail in rebate, because MSI makes you jump through too many electronic hoops to submit it. It weakens their brand in my opinion. But I really do like the stability and performance of their cards.

Well do you like your FTW's?

Yes I do. I had a long debate over which EVGA card to get between the FTW and Classified and I clearly went for the FTW edition. I had a minor issue, which probably would happen no matter which non-reference card I purchased. The cooler fan on GPU 2 hit the edge of my Intel 750 PCIe SSD the very first time I powered on the system. It scared the crap outta me but hasn't happened since. I've turned off/on the computer multiple times. This is something I never had to think about when I was just using my reference 980 Ti. For the record, I greatly prefer reference coolers for SLI configurations, but NewEgg had de-listed the EVGA 980 Ti reference at the time and I had a substantial NewEgg credit to use; $450+.

So yes, I like my FTW cards, but overall I prefer reference blower designs. I had initially planned to have three 980 Ti's in my system, but my Asus Sabertooth X99 only has three double slots and one of them is being used by the Intel 750 SSD. I still haven't decided if I'm going to swap my PCIe SSD for the U2 version, or buy a 4 way SLI motherboard. Btw, I only wanted two GPU's for gaming, but I wanted the 3rd card installed in order to play around with rapid GPU rendering.

Should I get the FTW or Classified?
