Alright So here's my system specs:

Cpu: i7-4790k (No overclock)
Cpu cooling:corsair h110 liquid cooler
Gpu: Gtx 980 ti sc+ (Crashes with stock clocks and 200/500mhz overclock to chip/memory)
Mobo: asus maximus 7 hero
ram: 16gb corsair vengeance 1866mhz ram
psu: seasonic 850w gold plus
OS: Windows 10
Monitor: acer predator

Alright so i build this pc a few months ago (Everything except the gpu, which I got a few weeks ago along with the monitor) And everything worked fine until About 2 weeks ago, other than random crashes that happened in witcher 3 on ocassion but i assumed that was because it was a new card and a new game there was bound to be bugs. Anyways Recently I started playing cs:go, it didn't crash at all for the first 2 days of playing, then i started getting driver crashes after a few minutes in-game it would then recover within 10-15 seconds and i could keep playing, well now the crashes are constant, i start cs:go when i get in a game it crashes after 2 minutes and on ocacsion recovers and i have to exit the game. But sometimes I have to hold the power button.

Now I've tryed re-installing the driver by downloading it from nvidia and installing it, This had no effect, I also switched which output i was using on the gpu, Also no effect. I'm at a loss I don't know what to do, Anyone else ever have these problems/know how to fix them?

Wow okay I found it, Apparently Msi afterburner had a profile with a crazy 300mhz overclock on it that started on boot so everything would crash as soon as it started getting to the 1700mhz range, Just lowered it to 200mhz and its working smoothly now 😀
