980 Ti SLI

Can I SLI a 980 Ti and a 980 Ti Classified? I am more than sure they are the same chip and therfore should cooperate fine, I just want to make sure before I tank more money on a bigger card.

Yeah you can but since the clock speed will be that of the lowest card, make sure you can overclock the lower card to what the classified is at or it's a waste.

That makes sense. So then overclocking the 2 standard cards would be the same as ordering the Classified? Classified is seriously just a factory OC?

Yeah pretty much, it has better power delivery, 14 plus 3 phase but the classified is still reference pcb. The FTW uses a custom board and the kingpin uses a custom board I think but the rest are all basically factory overclocks, same as doing it yourself with the regular acx card or whatever just guaranteed to have that overclock they come with.

EDIT: And for people who don't want to overclock and keep stock but want comparable clocks to the competition.
