so currently am running 980 ti with i7 6700k for 6 years and pretty soon am getting a high end build 2080 ti with i9 10900k i want to know whats the different gonna be and what am gonna experience i feel like i wanna cry writing this lol i just cant stop thinking about it

Note: please dont tell me to wait for 3000 series cuz once it release it will take some time to be available in my country and when it do i can buy it and give my RTX 2080 ti to my brother

Solution
January this year my son and me changed from 3770k with nvidia 1080 to new amd 3950x with nvidia 2080 super. We are happy, can run most modern games with ultra-settings. I am playing with 1440p , and my son with 1080p , because he is a very good COD and CS:GO-player and really needs higher frame-rates.

And your system will be the optimal gaming-system available today. I think, you will be happy and enjoy the difference between your old and new system.

Only little hint: get 32 GB 3600 ddr4 ram with at least cl16-timings( if possible).

I think a key question is what resolution and Hz is your monitor?
well there is 2 options that am torn about asus vg279qm 1080p 280 Hz or asus VG27AQ1A 1440p 170 hz what do u think ?

go for better hz or go for better res ? i saw some thread that higher hz is useless and you cant tell the different whats ur thoughts

Comes down to personal choice and the types of games you play. If serious esports player then 1080p 280Hz, but anything else I’d go 1440p 170Hz. However if main type of games are esports you don’t need a 2080Ti to push 280fps at 1080p.

with my current 980 ti i7 6700k at 1080p it struggles to run ultra in most games not smooth and laggy-ish i always need to change the settings to make it smooth as possible and the graphics dont feel right am just tired of this the card aged well using it for 6 years time to say goodbye to it lol and btw am getting 64 GB 3600 ddr4 gaming/editing/possibly streaming have good day brother and thanks
