Hello community!

I am in a conflict here and i dont know what to choose between the three choices i have:

980 Ti Gigabyte Extreme gaming(boosted to 1200+ factory OC) local price 690

980 Ti Msi (the red one with twin Frozr V boosted to 1140 factory OC) local price 670 (difference doesn't matter to me)

SLI with 2x970 Gtx G1 gaming Gigabyte(boosted to 1178 factory OC) local price 350

Before buying one of the two Ti's i will sell my 970 for about 300 so the final money i will be giving about the Ti's will be a 120-140 more from the purchase of a second 970

The hint is i already own a 970 g1 gaming and i was considering go with the sli from the time i bought it but know i thought maybe upgrading it to a 980 ti.

The temperature of my card is starting with 28-30 C idle and goes up to 55C max in gaming(in rare occasions up to 60C).

So i am a bit concerned about temperature and i dont want generally the card to be to hot and i know that with sli they will get both hotter.

So in my google/youtube search i didnt find enough benchmarks WITH temperatures in idle and full load about the two Ti's.

Does anyone own thoose cards to tell me his/her experience?Or maybe have you seen any benchmark with temperatures?

Thanks for the help

p.s I am not interested in factory watercooling cause my cpy is already in a loop and i might add the gpu there in the future

Solution
60c isnt hot at all for a gpu

personally i always prefer one card over sli so my choice would be the msi gtx980ti since i have the g4 gaming gtx970 and cant fault it at all

I am the same boat and after seeing the graphs on the projected performance of the Nvidia Pascal cards coming I am opting to wait and look at getting one of those, or at the very least they should cause the 980Ti cards to dip in price.

So do u really know when pascals will be released?Cause if it is not like next autumn sure thing i can wait! But i am afraid that as always with nvidia thats the time the release gonna be!AS from the two Ti's here which one you think its better overall? i mean perfomance in conjunction with temperature?

Room is not my problem! I got plenty! In nymber Extreme is better from the Msi....numbers dont lie...but overall in conjuction with the heat it will be produced i dont know which one is better for example i dont care if from the 80fps i drop to 70-72 but i am 5-8 C cooler

SLI 970s are actually faster than a 980Ti and it is your cheapest option. I play on SLI 970s and I'm not sure I would trade them for a single 980Ti even if I could do it for free.

Note that the Waterforce Xtreme 980Ti is a Watercooled and highly overclocked model and it is still about even with SLI 970s. The standard 980Ti is beaten by quite a bit at all resolutions.

Here is the full review if you want to read it and see the individual game benchmarks.

I did a quick google search and looks like April, I didn't see anything official however but I didn't have time to look much.

For reference cards I use
http://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gtx-980-ti/performance
to get a baseline comparison after that you need to hunt down specific reviews similar to what king3pj posted.
Amazon has some decent ways to compare specs too, at least on the cards I was interested in.
