9800 and 5950 price drop

This could be an indication of how low the 9800XT and 5950 might go. Alienware sells systems with the 9800XT or 5950 for $192US less than the 6800. If this is indicative of how much the retail price will drop, than I would say that both these cards will make awesome mid-price cards.

Obviously just because Alienware sells these for less with their systems, it doesn't mean that the retail price will drop by the same, but hey, it's something!

Well supposedly nV is emptying their whorehouse, err.... warehouse shelves.

Likely ATI will do the same, so you can expect some price reductions, but how much will depend on what they think they can get for them.
