9800GT - Price/Performance vs 8800GT?

Okay aunt Flow.

I'm not stupid and I know the 9800GT will no doubt be faster than my 8800GTS640 but would it really be worth the price or would it make more sense just to hold out for something better down the road like the 9800GTX.

8800GT is the same as 9800GT stop now!!!. 9800GT is cooler and power energy efficiense.
Performance is almost identical.
If you wonna get something better than a 8800GT, go and buy Ati 4870 or GF9800GTX+ 20-35% faster than a 8800/9800 GT.
And if you are a extreme player go for GTX 295 or Ati 4870x2.
8800GT will do fine if you have a dual core / core 2 duo.
If you buy a Quad core or a i7 then you should buy a good video card or just buy the 8800GT and wait some time to change for a good SLI GPU system...

hahaha! here in the philippines, 8800GTX cost 15000php ($300) but 9800GT costs 2400php (less than $50)
