have an ATI radeon 9800Pro 128mb card, and I have been playing around with ATITools. I have a question for everyone that has a similar setup. What would you consider a conservative setting for the Core speed and the memory speed on this card?? I have not upgraded the cooling to this card and I would like some conservative numbers that will not jeopardize the card and definitely not give any artifacts or system lockups. I just want to set it and not mess with it again. I know every setup is different but I am asking what numbers you would consider based on your experience.

someone once told me that 30% above stock is good for conservative overclocking. as far as system lock ups and artifacting are concerned, you can check that as you overclock with a benchmark program (like 3dmark2001 wich you can get at madonion.com) if it gets through the test without crashing or artifacting you're good to go.
