9800SE AIW problem with MMC8.9 / WDM

Installed the Cat4.3's so I could play the Farcry demo, but when I
loaded MMC the capture driver wouldn't initialise.

Upgraded MMC from 8.6 to 8.9 but it still wouldn't work although it
didn't give the WDM missing error anymore. So I downloaded the WDM
capture driver on it's own and reinstalled it and now I just get the
cpature driver missing error again.

Oh, and the TV tuner is missing again despite running the Microsoft
DX9.0b hot fix.

What to do?

Reinstalled WDM's again and it works ok now..

Well it did until I rebooted and then it fails to initialise the
capture driver again.

I had the same problem as you.

You must visit http://www.radeon2.ru/konkurs_3/27_01_04/initvi.html

I change one char in Hexeditor in ...\ATI Multimedia\main\DrvDShow.dll
Now catalyst 4.3 and MMC 8.9 can capture video from TV IN.

This is the same exact answer you gave me on a little different topic.
I have the WDM drivers load with no problem, but have no video capture.
This suggested fix did not work for me and the page is in a language
that I could not read. Pardon me, but do you copy this answer. The
hexeditor could be helpful. The catch is that the Hex Characters on teh
web page are not as they appear in the Dll file. I am thinking that
regulations in different countries require differences in programs.
