Question 980ti black screen

For some time now ill be in middle of playing a game and all of a sudden all 3 of my monitors turn black and i can still hear my game, but I cant see anything. then i have to restart, and i have to plug my monitors into Intel graphics then about 2-3 hours later my graphics card will suddenly work again and i have no idea why. no matter how many times i restart and unplug the pc the graphics card won't work until a couple hours later. Also during that time the graphics card fans are running, but its not being detected by my pc.
