980Ti High temps with water cooling

Hi I am getting high temps with a 980Ti with an EK water block. Reaching temps of 74 deg when gaming The water temp is at max 32 deg. 27 deg ambient temp

you probably want to reinstall the FC block. it means re applying the thermal paste etc

Make sure you put enough thermal paste on, the die on the 980 ti is pretty big. Also make sure that your pump isn't going super slow.

Yeah the waterblock is either not making contact or your thermal past is done wrong. Unlike the CPU, you want to cover the GPU die instead of a pea size in the middle.

Thanks Guys , reinstalled the water block , unfortunately I stripped one of the four screws that surround the GPU, Which was a shame , never mind I got by with three screws , Temps are excellent , at 2 deg delta above water temp and 22 deg delta on full load. I Think I would have got better if I had not ruined the block anyway thanks

Np! You musts really tighten them down to strip the screw or used the wrong bit. Gotta be careful.
