could i have caused any damage ? just wondering fastest i ran core was 1467 memory i maxed at 7700. and i didnt add any voltage at all. at 1467 the driver crashed so i backed it off to 1440 on the core and seems fine ben benchmarking for 2 hours i didnt see much if any more performace from geting my ram over 7500 even at 7700 i was geting the same fps in unigen and fire stirke

It sounds like totally fine to me. I have overclocked more than several dozens of graphics cards, and it's fairly safe to test its limits at default voltage. As long as the voltage is not stressed too much to test the frequency limits, the graphics card will crash during benchmarks or games but will be fine once you restart the PC and run it at a lower voltage.

I use a Geforce GTX980 and I have used many different voltage combinations and benchmarked many many times to try to figure out what's absolutely highest clocks it can run. After figuring that out, I let it run at slightly slower clocks, and the card has been running well for several months.
