980ti screen tearing, framerate difficulties in simple games, 80degrees under load

I've had a 980ti for the last couple years and I've started having difficulties with it lately. recently upgraded my mobo and got an i7. All great, but I can't play anything without screen tearing, difficulties keeping the framerate high enough for my 144hz monitor, and heating up to the point where I'm concerned. I've looked this up and tried numerous fixes, but I'm unsure what to do now. Nothing seems to work. It can't keep 144 constant on Rocket League, the main game I play, which I think is somewhat concerning, since it should be crushing that game. GPU % usage on MSI Afterburner goes up to 60-70% as well.

Its dangerous so i dont suggest you do hardware test without grounding yourself.

Reference card. A generic 625 watt PSU. BitFenix Shinobi case. Airflow is good, 2 fans pointing up, 1 out back one out front.

That PSU should suffice for i7 and 980ti whats your cpu's model which version of i7 and how long have you've been using this psu ? also are you overclocking ?

I've been using the PSU for 2-3 years now. Not overclocking. System specs: https://puu.sh/q3IjU/c4bf787628.png

It's your RAM.Latency settings are messed up your motherboard doesnt recognize your ram's official settings and its memory group. It should be saying either DDR3 or DDR4 instead of unknown. Are you getting any BSOD's ?.

On second though i heard speccy cant read the ram properly off skylake cpu's Try CPU-Z. and let me know your ram settings.

Also is your gpu has only 2GB of memory ? Don't know asus made 2GB GTX980ti's your gpu could be faulty as well.So many things.Just screenshot your cpu-z and gpu-z results.

These are the RAM settings I got off of CPU-Z: https://puu.sh/q3IJS/3b609866d2.png

Alright your ram's settings are right. Now do the same with gpu-z and show me your gpu specs because there is no 2GB GTX980Ti's

Alright GPU Seems to be fine as well. But we'll do a furmark test just to be sure.

http://www.ozone3d.net/benchmarks/fur/

Download it and do a stress test.Choose your native resolution and tick full screen and let it run at least 15 minutes.

I have 3D mark, if that's a better alternative.

If it is a 3D Mark 11 sure.

Here's the 3D Mark Stress Test: https://puu.sh/q3LA9/77931e2952.jpg / https://puu.sh/q3LBt/7566f7554c.jpg

I ran FurMark as well, FPS average was 92 and temp was 86 the entire time. Ran 13 minutes.

Your GPU Seems to be fine its probably PSU.You might want to test the psu.If you dont have the equipment to test it take your case to the local computer technician and let him have a look at your PSU.

How would I test it myself? I did see some articles warning not to use my current PSU as it's unstable.
