Greetings. So I have a fresh Windows 8.1 reinstall. New HDD, the Beta ATI drivers (so they work for Battlefield 4), and no non-essential software installed. Windows firewall is turned off.

I just rebooted my PC, went away for 10 minutes, come back to find 100% memory usage. I'll post 2 screenshots below. This has been happening for a few days now and I have no idea how to fix this or why it might happen. Thanks a lot for any help/ideas.

It looks like you have 4gb of ram, correct?
I can see firefox is open (using 200 odd megabytes), among a plethora of other apps. These will eat into your available RAM.
Try closing them eg ituneshelper, utorrent, adobe, etc and see if your memory usage falls. I reckon it's just because you have all these programs open, that's why your RAM is being used so much.

If its still available in W8, i dont really know im not going to install W8, but if possible start msconfig up? there should be a tab where you can deactivate programs on start-up.

I dont know where you can start it though.

It's not those programs. Closing all of them lets the RAM go down to 98% at most.. I just restarted the pc and from 4GB, even though max 350-400 are used, it says 60% now and growing :/

I can't really link it to anything, but yes, I think after installing the Catalyst Beta Drivers for my Radeon gpu so it would work well in Bf4. But when I ran Bf4, it would use 2 gb, and keep the memory at 98% but that was normal in my view, but then when I quit battlefield, the 2gb process disappeared but still the memory remained at 98-99%. Now I've stopped playing Battlefield for days now but still this starts to happen even after a fresh PC restart.. maybe not instantly, but 1 hr later it's the same.

Hard to tell if its drivers or the game itself, sinds the game is pretty much chocking itself from time to time.

Be sure to try what ive qouted here and try older AMD drivers.

Do you have Beta 13.11 drivers? they seem to have a fix for Windows 8 users, not sure if it concerns you.
The newest beta is from 30-10-2013

Hows the game today? there is a new BTF update, it is a known issue that BTF has for example also Memory leaks, problems seem to be diffrent with W8 users.

Some people have no problems on W8 and some do have.

hi, i have the same issue as well, right now i'm at 80% load, i have 8 gb of ram , i also had the hdd 100 load, but since i bought the ssd, no issue on that part, yet the ram load is still so weird, and some times it gets to 100 % and everything just freezes, until i restart my computer
i changed my psu thinking it was the issue, yet still have the issue, please help :S
