[SOLVED] 9th gen vs 3rd gen?

So i want to build a system i was gonna buy i7 3770,z77,8gb ram

And i found there is a deal with h310,i3 9100f,8gb ram with the same price (+10$)

my main purpose is gaming, So what are your suggestion which i should go with and why?

You need to understand that you're trying to compare the near cream of the crop processor from Intel made back a decade ago with one that's been made a year or so ago. The logical choice will be to go with the 9th gen since it's more power efficient and you get better features overall, not just the processor but from the board as well.

FYI, you forgot to mention the make and model of the motherboards as well as the ram(kits).

Also i don't care about feature i care about performance but i have seen that i7 3770 is just the same as i3 9100f and sometimes it is better in games so i don't know

some benchmarks say that i3 9100f is better by 10-15 fps and some tell that they are same, so what should i do?

With the 9100F you can upgrade to the 9900K when it gets cheaper.

8Gb isn't compatible with newest games, they require 16Gb. Also get a cheap 250Gb ssd for windows along the 1tb hdd for games.

i don't have money to afford both ssd and another 8 gb of ddr3 memory, and i don't think i would upgrade to 9900k someday

The 3770 at 4.7Ghz is better and maybe the 2600k doesn't overclock to 4.7Ghz.

i3 9100F is better than going back to an older CPU. RAM(DDR4-2600+) + i3 will perform better than 3770 and old parts always comes with no warranty. I would say go to something new, AMD also have cheaper and powerful mid range CPUs and also A320M boards are way cheaper + warranty.

What's your total budget? You can get a Ryzen 1600AF (Ryzen 2600) for 85$.
That will be many times faster than any old system.

well used ryzen isn't in my country, and i made another thread and looks like the 2600k 4.7 ghz this 9 year old cpu is such a beast , and it does overclock to 4.7 ghz
