What would be a better buy? I'm currently looking for a new monitor as I'm gonna give my current one, a 27 inch Flat Ips 1080p Samsung monitor to my parents. I was thinking of either getting a 1080p 27 inch Curved Samsung screen or a 2560x1080 34 inch Ultrawide Flat LG monitor.

Currently I'm looking at these panels.
Samsung Curved LS27D590CS 320usd or a
LG 34UM58 400 usd

As I live in the Philippines, Selection is very limited and it's only between those two.

I will only be using it for stuff like gaming, media consumption, and light autocad work and 3d rendering. I only have a i5 4570 and gtx 1060 6gb, So I have no plans of running 1440p or 4k until I get a new rig( but that's still a long way into the future) . So what do you guys think would be a better match for me?

I'd say get the ultrawide, I have a 29 inch ultrawide and the games feels more immersive I'm not going back to 16:9. 34" has a lower pixel density but I guess you wouldn't notice it if you're just going to use it mainly for gaming especially coming from a 27" 1080p, my ultrawide has a pixel defect , when I get my refund I'll be getting that same model lg 34um58.
