A $60 120 gb ssd.

Is it worth it to get a $60 SSD that is 120 bucks.It is on sale and it is suppose to be for notebook but i need to get a 3'5 drive bay.Is it worth it?And also it is for notebook.Will it work with desktop?

What SSD is it? You can usually get the Crucial M500 120GB SSD for about $75 so not really a surprising price. Pretty much all SSDs are 2.5" drives, most cases have a bracket to hold 2.5" drives or you have to figure out some way to mount the drive into your existing brackets, shouldn't be too hard.

It does worth it but there is an issue. Why Intel 730 series are 2x expensive than a Samsung 840 Evo and why 840 Evo is 30$ more expensive than that SanDisk, even though they all are SATA III and they all feature same read/write speed? It is because reliability. Many people have suffered due to failures in SSD's. If you read comments in Newegg, you will see. Many people had to exchange their items in various brands of SSD's. Also, they lost their datas inside.

Anyway, I am not saying that SanDisk is bad but make it sure that they are reliable before going for it. I would at least buy a Samsung 840 Evo or if I had money, I would go for Intel 730 Series.

some people think others are better than others. some are better than others. some are always in your face that people get a false sense/one about the other.

out of those three Intel is BEST........ the samsung is second although they aren't really as good as some people think. sandisc's third series drives are good...... earlier versions, especially the v300 should be avoided like the plague.

even the new crucials x100's should be considered.. as others. don't touch any first or maybe even some second series drives from most manufacturers.

Yes that was what I meant. Even though exceptional issues could happen, Intel has the best reputation in SSDs due to their durability. Samsung has its rep. due to good price and fair quality. Yet it makes more problems when compared to Intel. I do not know about SanDisk, that is why I mentioned that "make it sure". If SanDisk is reliable as Samsung, then we have our best SSD deal.

I haven't heard anything bad about the sandisks, might just be slower than the crucial/samsung. Though, if it's your first SSD, you will be impressed with anything 😛

I had one and can agree they are crap, luckily though, I just used it to upgrade someones old laptop so it got at least some use.
