Hello,

I have a crap Huntkey 600W PSU. I'm looking to buy a Corsair HX/AX 750 PSU soon since it would make it futuristic and also I'm afraid my crappy PSU might blow anytime..

Will the new PSU take more power than the one Im using now?

how much power i needed...
processor : 3770 k i7
motherboard: Asus P8z77 vpro
gpu: gtx 660 2gb zotac
ram: 8 gb corsair veng/1600
hd : 1tb

There's no reason to get the K version if you aren't overclocking.

No, you don't need any special cooler to run it perfectly fine at stock.

Hmm..A CPU cooler is a must in hot countries like India.. My temps were like touching 80's and 90's with stock intel heatsink(temps were like 60-90) non OC and with reapplied thermal paste with normal case(having 3x80mm fans). A good airflow case (Corsair 500R) only could reduce temps to around 50-78. A hyper 212 EVO ultimately proved a big difference with temps 39-62 degrees at max.

Though same cant be said for all countries..It depends on the temps and ofc the airflow in the case.

so hyper evo is a must in india ?

Woah. How hot was it in your house? lol

That is actually far, far too high for that CPU. Ivy runs very cool on stock voltage. I'm guessing the heatsink was installed incorrectly. You'd need to have fire around the case to get that sort of temp 😛

Around 40-45 degrees at day and around 35 at night. The stock fan is seated perfectly. I re-applied the thermal paste twice correctly to check and it was no changer. Though my gig is 2 years old, I never used to monitor my temps from a long time though. (checked once a month back and was like WTF). I immediately changed my case and bought Corsair 500R+CM Hyper 212 EVO+Arctic Cooling MX4. Still my temps are 39-62 degrees with non-oc.

Although, same cant be said for ivy bridge. X58 platform is normally hotter, also, many guys had the same problem (many more had, just googled some):

The 2nd guy having that much temps with a Corsair H 70.
