A amd board for mild overclocking on a budget *updated again*

I'm using a Athlon ll that I plan on overclocking some.

My currant can't and I don't like the fact that on my currant board the pcie x1 is under my 16. ( see, a duel slotted Gpu will cover it )
I need:

-Some overclocking
- a pci-e x1 above the x16
-ddr2 800
-at least 4 sata ports
-under 100$
- at least two usb headers
- the rest doesn't matter much!

I'm having trouble finding all of that but I know it's out there somewhere.

Yeah, the jump up is better. I love my M4A77TD board, nice and cheap with my AMD 740 BE CPU oc'd to 3.8ghz. Is the form factor ATX? is your case a mid or full? Do you want on board video? Need to know.

Here's what I found with no integrated video chipset: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813135250

With on-board video: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813138163
Assuming your running win 7 the cheapest 4 gb set of ram @ 1333 is 67.99, and it's not a company I have ever used. Take a look at Newegg.com, Amd usually likes 1333 sticks, if your new board supports 1600 I would try it but 1600 is even more expensive. There ar some boards that support both DDR2 and DDR3, you just have to search around.
Good Luck and give me a shout if you have anymore questions.

The form factor doesn't matter. I would like onboard video but just as a back up if my videocard fails.

I plan on getting this for ram: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820134810

I only want to slightly over clock but at the same time I want a board that is from a good brand and will last.

I would look for at least a CAS Latency of 8 or less if you can. CAS 9 is slower then 8-7 etc. Also, if your going to overclock the ram, I would advise heat spreaders on your ram, but if not not a huge deal. Here's some way better RAM here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231180
You will be paying One Dollar and One cent more for WAYYYYY BETTER RAM. G-skill! This Ram is 81.99 free shipping.

Cool, your choice. I have used G-skill in my overclocked rig for 2 years and it's been great. The only thing to think about is some heat spreaders on your ram if your going to overclock. But I totally understand going with ram that you have faith in. I'm the same way about my hard drives, Western Digital and nothing else. Does Kingston have the same model in a latency of 8? The lower the number the better.

Kingston tends to be higher though, I'm could go with G-skill if it's cheaper. :p

What other brands are good? What should I avoid?

I like G-skill and Mushkin, Mushkin is made in the USA. Thats the next set i'm getting. But the ram I showed you in the prior link would be a great addition to your build. It's the same voltage as the kingston you are looking at with lower latencies, 8.

Well, is your budget still the same for ram?? I think the ram link I provided would be a good match, or you can go to ASUS web-site, type in the board name and look up all compatible ram. Here's the link again that I provided earlier: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231180&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-RSSDailyDeals-_-na-_-na&AID=10521304&PID=3463938&SID=
I would say that you cant beat this ram, 2 x 2GB (4gb) of dual channel ram @ 8-8-8-21 latency should work great!

That was a little higher. But my video card's prices could drop soon so I might could add the extra dollars.

I think I might go with that! Thanks!
