A question that may have nothing to do with this but how to install an operating system onto the SSD and not the hard drive?

Select the SSD as the drive to install on

Unplug the hard drive before installing Windows or you will have problems. Then just plug it back in after installation.

How about adding the SSD in first and when the OS is installed then add the Hard Drive?
