A big midtower

I've got a tricky situation. I want something in the top three 5" 1/4 bays, but my motherboard (ASUS A7V) has a component that's blocking the bottom peripheral. So, I'd like to know if anyone has come across a bigger than usual midtower (either higher than 16" or wider than 8"). I don't want to go into tull tower just yet.

What I have right now is an AOpen HX 45 as described here: http://www.aopen.com/products/housing/hx45.htm

Thanks in advance.

I used to have the same problem with that moderboard and regular mid cases, then got the Nikao Noblesse and everything got solved. Plus got a fourth large bay on the bottom hidden behind a sliding door.

The Noblesse is deeper than I guess average mid cases, 17 3/8" instead of average 15 ¾" (44 cm over 40 cm). I still had to cut a small piece off my cd-rom case to use the third bay from top, nothing major just a little nibble at the edge which is closer to the motherboard.

If you find a mid case which is 18" or more deep you're free of any mods, but watch it because companies measure the case from the back till the end of the front bezel, which is not the real size. Real measure is from back till where the front bezel start.

Wow, this is nice. But if I can find it, it would cost me a bundle. Any other suggestions, anyone? The more the better.
