OK im a bit clueless at this but im going to try and explain the best I can. My brother owns the internet in our household, I am currently connected to that via wireless, but am wanting to get it wired. His modem has 4 ports which he is fully using, but willing to give one up.

I have the Asus X99 Deluxe which has 2 ports on the back which I would like to make use of as plan to live stream at some point, how do i convert it to 2? Is it just a case of getting another modem/router?

Are you looking to go fully wired? If so, then all you need is a switch. 5 or 8 port. Maybe $20.

Cat5e gets plugged into one of the ports on the router, and then one of the ports on the switch. Other devices get plugged into the other ports on the switch.
