So heres my story i have been looking into buying the Asus gtx 770 for awhile but my problem is it only has 2gb's of vram will that be more then enough for this years and next years games? I have also looked into some 4gb gtx 770 but im not sure i would want to go with that. I would prefer to stay away from AMD cards. So what do you think should i go for a gtx 780 which has 3gbs of vram or just a gtx 770?

It depends on your monitor situation. If you're going to keep a 1080p monitor until your next video card upgrade, then 2GB should be enough for the next 3 or so years. If you want to be super safe, the 4GB 770 is only $50 more than the 2GB 770 so it's worth the money. If you're going any higher than 1080p, I would go with either the 3GB 780 or 4GB 770. Between the 3GB 780 and 4GB 770, it depends on how much you care about cost. If you want value, go for the 4GB 770. If you don't care, go for the 3GB 780 because the memory should be enough and the performance is obviously better.
The GTX 780 has better performance than the GTX 770.
The GTX 770 has much better performance per price compared to the GTX 780.

For the current prices, I would just buy a GTX 770. But, if price is not a concern to you, a GTX 780 would be a good choice.
