A Blu Ray / Dvd drive mounting question.

In my new computer build I plan on using the Corsair Air 540 case. This case has vertical mounts for the optical drive.

I know that this is probably a silly question, but are most newer blu ray or dvd drives capable of this?

My current system is ancient and the dvd tray has nothing to hold the disk in if it were mounted vertically.

Yeah, in most cases. I have that case, so I'm well aware of the issue. My LG Bluray burner has little tabs that hold the disk in vertically while it retracts the tray to play the dick. Look for those tabs on any drive you may use with that case to make sure. Most have them, but some of the really cheap drives don't.

I would guess 99% of modern optical drivesare capable of running vertical or horizontal
