Hi everyone
I am building a gaming pc for a friend and i cant decide if a should get an intel i5 4460 with an AMD R9 270x or get and AMD fx 6350(without OC) with the r9 280.
Which one do you think is best for games?

Thank you in advance (Sorry for eny spelling mistakes)

I plan to get an ASUS M5A97 R2.0

Sorry i thought we ware talking about amd. For intel i would consider an Asrock H97 Pro4. Also lets just say that upgrading is not in my plans, which one while be better(for games) out of the box?

If i go with an i3 4330 will it be better from an AMD FX6350 in terms of gaming?

For most games, the i3 will beat the FX, sometimes severely. Only in very well-threaded titles might the FX win out, and then likely not by much. He might want the FX if he intends to stream his games while playing (which needs more cores), but without specific reasons, I'd go with Intel. The H97 Pro 4 seems like a decent choice.

go with the i5 4460 and the r9 280 ... r9 280 are cheap and really good performer

Core i5-4460 3.2GHz is a performance CPU based on the 22nm, Haswell architecture.

It offers 4 Physical Cores (4 Logical), initially clocked at 3.2GHz, which may go up to 3.4GHz and 6MB of L3 Cache.
Among its many features, Turbo Boost and Virtualization are activated.

So lets pick the best solution :
1) i3 4330 and r9 280
2) fx 6350 and r9 280
3) i5 4460 and r9 270x
Remember this is a gaming build
(Let's say that will only care about out of the box performance with out oc and without making a choice thinking that it will upgraded to the future lets say from i3 to i5)
So which is better for games 1,2,3?
