ok i wanna have a crossfire set up but i want to buy 1 card now and one later

the the card has to be comparable to a 6800GS either VERY slightly worse or better, because i want to eitehr go dual 6800GS's or some ATi sollution

also it has to stay in the $160 pricerange and it cant go over 200 or liek 199.99 cuz im trying to build a budget PC

so yah...help much apprciated

Ok what I am going to suggest to you is not go crosssfire or SLI. The reason for this is that there is only a a max of 50% performance increase (if you get lucky) and so therefore you might as well get a slightly better single card solution. But, if you really do want to go crossfire, I will suggest this card:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814102688
Best performance under $200. And you could add the corssfire master card later if you wanted to.

But remember, there are better single card solutions out there than dual, so i personally will suggest to you a GeForce 7900GT, it may be about twice the price of the X850, however it should last you longer than crossfired X850s. And it provides better performance than 2 X850s.

So do what you want, but I am advising against using 2 cards.

the thing is im not big on eye canday in 3 years from when i build my PC a X800 will be cheap and it will be a cheap upgrade for my PC

also i cant find a Crossfire edition of the X850

found a X850 Crossife but its more than 300bucks ZipZoomFly ha dit for 320 i believe and anotehr X850 crossfire for 500 and tigerdirect prices were the same

so X850 is out

what abou tan X800 series card? how do they compare to 6800GS's?
