Hey guys,
I moved to a desertic place, so we have sand/dust all the time and high temperatures (around 100*F/ 50°C pretty much all year)

So I'm wondering what would be the best case for someone like me. A case with a very simple design (to prevent dust/sand to get stuck in it) and excelent airflow to keep everything cool.

Right now I've stumbled upon the Fractal define R5 but I'm not sure it's cooling power would be enough.
Would be great to have your opinion guys.

Thanks

Although important, high airflow will not help you very much if you have high ambient temperatures. Do you have air conditioning?

I would look for a case that offers 2 or 3 intake fans with dust covers. The idea would be to have a positive pressure case (more airflow in than out) to help keep any dust entering the computer forced through the dust filters. The R5 also has the fan slot covers which would help a lot for unused exhaust fan slots (like one of the top slots). I think you chose well for the case. I would try for 2 front intake fans and one bottom (all with dust filters) and exhaust in rear and one of the top slots (cover over the other top exhaust). You could also look into the Phanteks Enthoo Pro with similar features.

Also if you are going to be dealing with high ambient temperatures you will want to look for a very high quality and efficient power supply as well as choosing lower power components like Intel processors and Nvidia GPUs.

Hehe thank you for your input, unfortunatly the AC is no on 24/7, my computer is :)
After some more research on the Phanteks you suggested, I found this bad boy : Phanteks Enthoo Luxe
Looks cool, I love how you can close the panel with the usb ports so it's great for the sand, two front fans, very modular... It's almost perfect for me :)
