[SOLVED] A case for hard drives?

I have a few older hard drives I wish to wipe and install to my gaming pc, mostly backup hard drives which are all external. i don’t want then internal, and only use them when I need to find a picture, documents etc. So I have 4 hard drives i want to use. Is there a case that I can keep the hard drives in, I dont want 4 external hard drives and their cases on my desk. If I can break them open and install them into a nice case similar to my pc case I would be happy.

my case is Corsair SPEC-04 ATX Mid Tower Case (black, with red highlights/fans)

Hard drives are kind of useless in a case without anything to connect it to.

I recommend finding a multi-bay hard drive enclosure. Or, since you probably don't need all the drives up at once, a 3.5" drive "docking station" or similar.

Okay, thank you, this was exactly what I was thinking of, I only found cases for internal pc hard drive racks.

so, as I only need one connected at a time, I think a hard drive dock would be the best option as its a lot cheaper, however is there a non enclosure that I can store the hard drives safely?

As long as you keep the drives in a cool, dry place, they'll be fine. If you're still paranoid about it, you can buy ESD bags for them.

I have found this I like the look of this, minus the cost, and the amount of disk storage. Maybe I can find one for just 6 hard drives.

I can go to a local hardware store and buy a similar case, with foam included, for 1/2 that.
Pluck out the foam needed, put drives in.

I have a couple for my camera equipment. No less fragile than hard drives.

That one costs so much because "Hard Drive Case!!"

Depending on where you store those, I would get a few packs of the moisture absorbing pellets and stick that in with the drives so moisture does not accumulate in the box.

I have a wooden box, well a few... where I think what I have brought would keep safe, may not be waterproof but should keep my data safe
