I have 2 high def flat screen tv's with the same problem. 1 is a Vizio M190VA and the other is a Skyworth SLC-1551A. Both work just fine as tv's and playing like Xbox on them. But if I put ether tv on PC mode connected to my laptop as an extended screen. The color gain and tint controls on the tv's are grayed out and the color tint is not the same between my laptop screen and the tv screen. And I can't change the color tint on the tv. In regular tv mode the color gain and tint controls work just fine. What gives?

If you're connecting the computer to the TV with a digital connection, color adjustments are usually unavailable. With a digital connection, each color the computer sends maps to an exact color on the TV so no adjustments are possible. If you wish to tweak the colors, you need to do it on the laptop in the video card's settings. Or by creating and assigning a color profile in Windows.

If there's a way to connect the laptop to the TV with a VGA cable, that's analog and the tint and color adjustment settings should be available.

It is not possible even with a VGA cable. The Skyworth flatscreen tv has a VGA input for the PC input. How do I tweak the colors sent to the tv but not change the laptop screen. What the laptop screen see's of like a desert landscape, mostly tans and light browns are a lot of geen's on the tv. See the following link https://www.dropbox.com/s/z3erky0zcyl1e40/floating%20bridge.jpg?dl=0 The road in this picture is from SimCity 4k game. The color of the road the way it is in the picture is what my laptop see's, a light tan. The tv sees the road as green. How do I fix it in Windows?
