[SOLVED] A command prompt keeps popping up

I have a problem with a command prompt popping up every few minutes non-stop. It alt-tabs me out of the fullscreen programs which is slightly annoying. I was able to notice once for what it's trying to open (C:\Users\Noahie\AppData\Roaming\jdjiiur) and it says it's a system file. Any ideas on how I could stop it from popping up?

tried running malwarebytes or Hitman pro?

Try a clean boot and see if it changes anything - make sure to read instructions and make sure NOT to disable any microsoft services or windows won't load right - https://support.microsoft.com/en-au/help/929135/how-to-perform-a-clean-boot-in-windows

if clean boot fixes it, it shows its likely a startup program. You should, over a number of startups. restart the programs you stopped to isolate the one that is to blame.

if that doesn't help, you can run this - https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/downloads/procmon - and set it to log access to cmd.exe but its likely to find too much info as you be surprised how often its used daily

I used autoruns and found out it's a firefox thing, but why is it doing it and why does it say it's also a system file?

i didn't think to look at autoruns as well its for start up apps, not random cmd calls. But its one more thing i need to remember

its only meant to happen every 24 hours so sounds like your Firefox install might need a repair or reinstall. that might fix it instead of disabling it.
